Unparalleled

Plastic, integrated into our lives within just 60-70 years, is now an environmental threat due to its durability, with over 8.3 billion tons produced. Disposable items like beverage bottles are major pollutants, harming marine life through entanglement or ingestion, leading to death or severe injuries. Microplastics from these wastes also enter the marine food chain, affecting fish and human health. My art project critiques commercial advertising's role in promoting plastic use, using repurposed ads to explore the relationship between consumerism, environmental harm, and the illusion of necessity in advertisements. It aims to highlight the environmental cost of convenience and the need for sustainable practices.
